Antics Creative Enterprises believe that active participation in the arts is essential to the development of social and indispensable life-long skills. Antics Creative Enterprises’ mission is to provide high quality opportunities for active participation in the arts. Antics facilitate a wide range of programmed activities within various community contexts. The focus within each programme, be it a Community Project or an Education Programme, is placed on the process of engagement, education and empowerment through the arts.


What you can expect:
As an Antics Community Project client you will be encouraged to develop your skills, make decisions and take ownership over the creative process. Workshops provide a great opportunity to meet people from diverse backgrounds, and to develop confidence and communication skills. Antics aim to increase opportunities to access the health benefits associated with the arts, through dance facilitation, such as increased health, fitness, well-being, flexibility, co-ordination, concentration, and knowledge and understanding of nutrition and physiology.

As a participant within an Antics Education Programme you will receive high quality tuition in your chosen field. The focus will be on engagement, education and empowerment as you complete your qualification be it at Undergraduate Degree level, Continuous Professional Development or a module within your current education programme. The focus of teaching is person-centred and will be tailored to suit your specific needs as required.

Speaking at the Get Scotland Dancing launch in Glasgow, Culture Minister Fiona Hyslop said: “Dance is part of Scotland's cultural identity. We have a long dance tradition taking in ceilidhs, the Highland fling, ballet, break dancing and everything in between…We want to get more Scots involved in dance. It's fun, creative, a great way to keep healthy and can be enjoyed by everyone - even if you've never done it before.”
